Stream the new Hookworms album here. For fans of psychedelic rock or krautrock. From my one listen so far it's almost as good as Pearl Mystic, my AoTY for 2013, which means it's excellent, and will probably be amongst my top ten for the year when it's officially released in a weeks time.

This album is, as of now, my #2 album on the year (almost #1, it was really close), and it's an incredible work. A small ensemble of two bassists, two clarinetists, a cellist, a tape-delay tech and a pianist and they create something incredible. It's not ambient music, but it's not far off, more minimalism than anything. The ability of this group to evoke the kind of emotion that they do from one note, one chord, is amazing. This album is pain, it's longing, it's sadness, it's loss, it's life, it's everything.
Worth checking. You will either love it or hate it. Relate to it or think it is a comedy album. An old man ranting nonsense vitriol over Casio keyboard beats. I love it.
New Wu-Tang track is pretty good. Give me hope for the new album :)
Based on the three leaked tracks, this album could be better than 8 Diagrams and Iron Flag (and I like both those albums a lot). A bit worried by the complete lack of Raekwon at this point though; I trust him to drop a killer verse at this stage in their career more than I do any other member. _________________ 2021 in full effect. He was part of the fully reunited Wu on Colbert months ago, so there's no reason the master chef shouldn't be on this album _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Go. Now. Listen.
This sounds way up my alley. Definitely making it a priority
