"I think there is. I also think this is another standard affair by Supergrass. Not much new ideas but 12 more catchy and energetic songs on display. 'Seen The Light' and 'Rush Hour Soul' are my favorites! 'Never Done Nothing Like That Before' adds a riot! The boundless youth is still present. More..."  [+]  Reply

"Beautiful, evocative album which is a maelstrom of all of 4ADs greatest bands (circa mide Eightees) and indeed, a number contributed, including DCD and Cocteau Twisns. This is the best of their 3 albums - lots to get into here - listen in a darkened room with plenty of atmosphere."  Reply

"In my opinion the LA Express ruined this album. It sounds like cheezy dollar store jazz. Her solo performances here aren't bad though. Shadows and Light is worlds better."  Reply

"Listened to it again after a long time of not and while it still is like a fresh breath of air in an energetic morning, I agree... there's not much memorable on here except for maybe the first track. Not a lot of catchiness to this, but at the same time, it seems to be a thing in the 2010s. Lack ..."  [+]  Reply

"I agree, it sounds like his well known two acoustic folk albums, though it isn't as brilliant as they were. Best tracks for me are The Painter and Here for You while otheres like the last two I don't like and many are just fine. Still, it's a nice album to listen."  Reply

"Hard to believe it's Art Blakey on the first and third tracks; he's playing like an ordinary studio drummer. Very odd, it's like hiring Jimi Hendrix and having him strum gently in the background. Other than that, all the musicians are killing it, particularly Lee Morgan. The track J.O.S. is a gre..."  [+]  Reply

"Good alternative rock album. Best 10 songs average is 81,2/100 and the album can get good 80/100. Solid album without highs and lows. Best songs are "Ocean spray" and "The year of purification" both 85/100, followed by "Found that soul", "So why so sad", "Let Robeson sing", "Wattsville blues" and..."  [+]  Reply

Head
Soundtrack
""Head" was the last Monkees album to feature all four original members. Guitarist Pete Tork left the band shortly after finishing the album. Though it's a soundtrack and not a regular album it contains some of the Monkees' finest recordings. Especially the two Carole King songs "Porpoise Song" an..."  [+]  Reply
