"Sorry deliver the sleazy ennui soundtrack for the 20-somethings of today; an innovative patchwork of alternative goodness, mixing its sounds and words like a hazy drug-filled evening. Without ever fully giving the game away, Sorry maintain a prosaic mystery in their style, allowing the bands memb..."  [+]  Reply

"Reves: 9/10 Reves is easily the best instrumental album I have ever heard. Many of the tracks, such as 2 and 3, showcase just how incredible instrumentalists the band is. The drumming on 2 is powerful and crisp. The guitar playing on 3 is frantic, like a twisted version of the James Bond theme. T..."  [+]  Reply

"At the time of its release (1979) I loved the opening track "Tragedy" and many of the songs which followed. In 2022 upon re-listening I was at falsetto-overload before the album reached its quarter mark. The singles still had something that resonated about them, but I had a difficult time listeni..."  [+]  Reply

Probably the best track that plays to the strengths of the qualities this album has. Also thought Murray De Pillars was also g..."  [+]  Reply

"I'll never be a jazz aficionado...but I do appreciate the more melodic orchestral records by people like Basie. Enjoy the more dynamic numbers and the horns in his one. My fav tracks: Magic, Sweety Cakes, Corner Pocket, April in Paris. I have this as the Best Jazz/Big Band Album of 1957."  Reply

"The story goes that Mike Oldfield had to commit to one more album with Virgin Records and they'd been on at him to produce something a little more radio friendly. Ever the contrarian, Mike came up with Amarok. One, hour-long track, split up into little nuggets of weirdness. There's barely a movem..."  [+]  Reply
