"Yes, this little loved PJ Harvey album is still my unquestionable favorite of hers. And yes, "modern rock marvel" Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea is still my least favorite for its overt "modern rock" commercial production and half the songs feeling just mediocre songwriting from an a..."  [+]  Reply

"Brilliant satanic rock/prog/folk masterpiece. Every track is outstanding, and then the final track, "Sacrifice", is one of the best rock tracks of all time. Probably needs several listens to really get into it."  Reply

"To say KGLW are going through a fruitful period at the moment would be an understatement. This year alone they have continued to exceed expectations with their impressive output of high quality music. 'Laminated Denim' continues the trend."  Reply

"As a big Daniel fan, I find this album a nice middle ground between his lighter, piano driven early work (Songs of Pain) and the dark, scattered sound to come (Hi How Are You, Yip/Jump). My Yoke is Heavy and The Story of an Artist are some of my favorites, too."  Reply

"A deeply personal and introspective record. I love this album. The production is great, gotta love that dry drum sound. Jeff Tweedy is writing better lyrics than he ever has."  Reply

"Something about this is like impossible for me to dislike. It is so shimmering and intoxicating and fun. Some people seem to be uneasy about embracing it but this is like heaven, why are y'all being so tentative? :P May be my favourite electropop next to Visions by Grimes (unless you count Fever ..."  [+]  Reply
