"My favorite contemporary folk duo returned in 2024 with their first new material in over ten years. This record is packed with incredible folk songs with production that really supports the sparseness of the core duo. A real winner! Track: The Bells and the Birds"  Reply

"Written as a tribute to the coal mining communities of South Wales, Public Service Broadcasting’s latest release does a splendid job of honouring its subject rather than simply pilfering from it for inspiration. The voices of miners and a local choir merge effortlessly with the band’s signature s..."  [+]  Reply

"I realize Beefheart himself wasn't a fan, because of the production, but the album itself is great. The final product is what it is. I prefer it to the exhausting Mirror Man sessions which overcompensated for this release."  Reply

"Sting takes some big chances on Brand New Day. Older acts that attempt to fit into popular music rarely succeed but Sting's fame rose from the singles here for a couple years. It's a very uneven album in quality and sound. Sting tackles Bossa Nova, Eastern Influence, and country to varying degree..."  [+]  Reply

"Maybe not the "return to form" I was sort of hoping for, but Neil Young's return to Crazy Horse after a 7 year absence still has its moments. I prefer the glimpses at the Crazy Horse of old over the more mellow tracks, with the exception of Green is Blue which is one of the more impressive songs...."  [+]  Reply
