Post Nothing by Japandroids
Definitely this. It's just two guys but a third member would ruin it. Their energy makes up for any lapse in sound. Yeah they can't sing, but they're so energetic that it doesn't really matter.

And to a lesser extent this. It's not exactly raw energy, but it just seems like the type of music a bunch of teenagers would want to make while hanging around over the summer. I feel like it's the perfect soundtrack to youth.
Born To Run by Bruce Sprinsteen
This is a pretty obvious choice too. Just listen to the break in the middle of the title track. Everything comes to a standstill, then he shouts "1-2-3-4!" and the entire band comes back to life. You can hear how happy he was to be making this album. It's like he knew how important it would be.

Wonderful explanation, the whole album is filled with passion, the way he sings Backstreets is truly mindblowing.
