I can still pinpoint the moment I realised The Mars Volta were fucking whack and that I was on a wrong path musically to hearing those opening 10 seconds of 'The Widow' for the first time, not long after this came out. Seriously, fuck The Mars Volta. I still ride for At the Drive-In, though.
EDIT: Obviously pre-Mars Volta ATDI. I'm not fucking with any of that comeback shit. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

Yeah I feel about this record exactly the same way Gowi and Skinny do. Though something I've noticed is that it's slowly becoming cool to like The Mars Volta again and I feel so fucking out of touch with that

I can honestly say that I've never cared for The Mars Volta. Even when I like stuff liked Wolfmother and others, they were always a step too ridiculous sounding to take seriously.

still do like it, just not loving it. Also P4k hates it, so that makes it better. |
That's a strange thing to hold against something. What is the ideal amount of songwriters a song should have in order to be "cool"? _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

It's better than anything At the Drive-In have released. There I said it. It's close though, I'm a fan of pretty much everything pre 2006 from Cedric and Omar. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart
