Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.3/100, a mean average of 71.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.5.

When you have a band conceive an album about an alien planet and its extinct civilizations odds are its going to come somewhere in the 70s .

This albums is both charming and infuriating. Musically it feels like ELO and Genesis had a child which came out as Sgt Pepper. Its not bad but others were doing similar things.
That being said when theres highes their great , but when theres lows there low.

An ambitious and well-executed release by this Canadian progressive pop-rock outfit. Perhaps they overextend slightly to deliver on the narrative, but it remains a stellar follow-up to their debut. Fans of the Beatles, David Bowie, and ELO should enjoy! (Edited)

I do not hesitate to call this the greatest album I have ever heard. Everything on this album reaches heights I never thought was possible, and culminates perfectly in every way.

One of the great Progressive Albums of all time. This was the groups second release, and tremendously polished for 3 young Canadians coming off of a solid incognito debut.
The Album tells the story of a Planet somewhere in the cosmos that self destructs ... and leaves behind the loneliest of creatures. The Music takes you on a roller coaster, From Beatles type(Harrison Style) ballads, to Genesis complexed tale telling, to Queen style classical rock. It is a breath taking masterpiece, well worth adding to ones Progressive/Art Rock Collection. Long Live Politzania! (Edited)
