Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 86.6/100, a mean average of 85.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.9.

An album that will always be talked about amongst the best albums of all time because of how incredibly consistent it is. Throughout it always feels like a warm hug with the brilliant familiarity of the album while also being innovative and progressive too. It will always stand the test of time because it has mass appeal and deservedly so.

A must-listen, one of the most consistent albums - Songbird is the weakest track but I still appreciate it. My highlights on the album are Dreams, Go Your Own Way and Never Going Back Again. Totally deserving of being ranked so highly in the overall chart.

Rumours was the first record that I ever bought for myself, so it may be nostalgia bias. However, in my honest opinion, this albums holds some of the best songwriting that any group has ever put together. There is an underlying tragedy that you can follow on each track. You can feel everything right next to the band.

Look, I know I’m not supposed to like this album. It’s representational of why punk rock became so vital. There’s an excess of production and hedonism here that is pretty gross.

There are two reasons why this album is among the greatest ever, in my opinion. One, the variety of voices is amazing. If this were just a Stevie Nicks album, it’s not as good. But Nicks/Buckingham/McVie all bring their individual talents in a way that plays out so well.

Point #2 is the more important one. This kind of unbridled honesty is so rare. You feel like you’re on a roller coaster. One song is bitter, seething with rage. The next is a giddy ode to a new love affair. (i.e., The Chain followed by You Make Loving Fun). Then, you read something about the band and you realize that the songwriters are screaming/cooing at each other! It’s painful, but real.

It’s like the band unconsciously decided that they were all a flaming train wreck of humanity, but let’s keep it together long enough to make some amazing music, at one another’s expense.

Others have noted that pretty much every song is a hit, but here’s what really gets me. When Fleetwood Mac did a reissue in 2004, they add Silver Springs, which stands up well against the mega-hits from the original.

Disco de soft rock muy disfrutable. Grandes voces femeninas. Repleto de clásicos. Las últimas canciones son un poco más flojas.

Mejores canciones: Go your Own way, Dreams, The Chain, Second hand news
