This was my introduction to this great great songwriter and musician. I still remember the first time I heard "Highway Kind" I was shocked. I really was speechless and I had teary eyes. It was like someone had just revealed their feelings and deepest thoughts to me, and in doing so it was like it opened me up emotionally as well. Really powerful. And these 2 LPs here really are full of powerful moments like that, from "Greensboro Woman" to "Pancho and Lefty" to "if I needed you" and on and on. He truly was one if the very few writers who had Dylan as a peer. Absolutely mind blowing! It's a shame he's not more renowned.
