I really like her voice and the melodies of the songs. I hear a very strong American accent from Leah, I'd say. But it sounds different to other American singers, her accent is stronger. Her voice connects with her accent, it sounds very captivating and sexy. She has a very interesting voice color for me, especially in some positions.
I bought this album in the spring of 1997. I had to order a CD in the store at the time, because it was not in stock in the store. Internet shopping did not exist at that time. I am from Europe, from the Czech Republic. It is on the border with Germany. After ordering, I had to wait one month for that album. After listening, I was excited. For several months, maybe half a year, it was my most listened to album. I played that CD over and over again. The morning before I went to school. The afternoon I came home from school. And then in the evening when I went to bed. The album was replaced in this position at the beginning of 1998, when I bought the CD The Globe Session from Sheryl Crow as a novelty. I did get the next album from Leah Andreone, which is called Alchemy, sometime in the summer of 1998. At that time, I had to buy a burnt-out copy, because I didn't get the original in our Area at the time. But coincidentally, I now even have two original Alchemy CDs. I bought one CD on ebay after years. Because I just wanted to have the original, a collector's item. Then I was looking for a third album by Leah Andreone called Avalanche. I couldn't get it anywhere (not even on ebay then). I was looking for it, when it was no longer as novelty. In the end, I got the CD directly from Leah Andreone. She sent me all her three albums, signed on the booklet. I asked her to. She also sent me her signed photo. It could be 2017, maybe. I would like to meet her in person, but I'm afraid of flying a plane, so it probably won't work. Leah Andreone and her music mean a lot to me. I spent a lot of time with her like that and she definitely influenced me a lot.
