John Scofield, master of Jazz and Jazz-Rock guitar, teams up here with maestro Vince Mendoza and the Metropole Orkest for a body of work that is both varied and superb, even by Sco's crazy high standards. The large ensemble is used to great effect without crowding Sco's compelling guitar work. There's never a dull moment as moods and styles shift from song to song and even within songs. This is an absolute must for any lover of modern jazz.
