Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.0/100, a mean average of 67.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 68.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 19.5.

This is a great comeback album. Cudi once again articulates the vibes he's known for in a more mature and refined way than Man on the Moon but it's more ambient, spacey, and electronic. This kind of reminds me of what a Thom Yorke solo album would be if it was hip hop and had Cudi rapping on it.
I’m really glad Cudi decided to take things easy. The album sounds a lot lighter and natural. He sticks to his sound and image, but without making it sound like a repeat. When I listen ‘Baptized in Fire’ something tells me that Travis Scott made Cudi realize exactly what his sound is and what his influence has been, as if he understood better than Cudi himself what he was doing. That being said, Scott got nothing on Cudi (weird sentence).
If you truly listen to the album, and have listened throughout Cudi's discography, you will notice subtle hints of his previous work in this record. Production is amazing thanks to longtime collaborator Plain Pat, "Kanye's right-hand-man" Mike Dean, Pharrell, Dot Da Genius (WZRD) and Cudi himself. Only thing this album is missing is Emile, Ratatat or MGMT then it would truly be a CLASSIC!
I'm content with this.
Cuddler is back
Cudi really do go dumb on them hums.
