Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 10% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.7/100, a mean average of 74.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 10.7.

Fascinating album. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful. Its so good, I am worried that its going to go under the radar for the year.
Track picks: Memories Are Now, Animal Kingdom Chaotic, The Coming (Edited)

Extremely interesting album. On of my favorites of this year. Great combination of simple and complex. Great use of rhythm and creative use of her vocal range. Almost a strange mix of Joanna newsome, Fiona apple, Melanie, patti smith and other speckles of influences I can't put my finger on.. Favorite tracks: Simmon Says, Memories Are Now and Cut Connection. Overall very catchy! (Edited)

Maybe I need to revisit this when I'm in a better mood, but I don't know. It's all right. I appreciate the idiosyncrasies on display here, and maybe because this is so out of left field, I'm just not in the right space for it. Otherwise, this is pretty good. I like parts of it. Unlike a lot of what I've heard this year.
probably the best indie folk album of this year...the lost sky is especially good. (Edited)
