Bought it on vinyl when it was released. Had only read about it, not listened. Fell in love immediately and loved it since then. Majestic destiny dramatic and that baryton voice. A masterpiece.
Such a special album for me. Difficult to find words.
Like the greatest art takes you to a time and place where you almost feel you're breathing the same air.

One of the greatest ever Aussie albums. Wide Open Road is the highlight. If you ever get the chance to travel round Oz make sure you have this playing on your stereo!
It's an Australian golden gem full of memories and mystery. It says so much about Australia particularly Western Australia were David McComb grew up . its very much in the same class as a Tim Winton novel It's a masterpiece
