This is possibly my favourite, if not the finest, ever album made by a Spanish recording artist. Joan Manuel Serrat is, one of the world's greatest living singer-songwriters. The title track "Mediterráneo" is beyond doubt one of my favourite songs written in the Spanish language. It will be on most lists of the most emblemnatic songs written in Spain.

An magic album, the masterpiece of popular spanish music. Serrat is a singer-songwriter whose peers are Brassens, Brel, Paoli....Prodigious lyrics, great arrangements.
