A messy call-back to her earlier days, mixing in her swampy vocal tracks with her spacious ambient soundscapes that are more subtly foreboding than they seem on the surface. Often fascinating, it ultimately falls a bit short of making a real statement, but at least plays as a far more exciting listen than her previous, somewhat underwhelming purely-instrumental releases.
