Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 12% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.9/100, a mean average of 74.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.9.

Not as good as Let It Bleed/Sticky Fingers but the opening and closing tracks are two of their best - Start Me Up and Waiting on a Friend. Absolutely beautiful guitar on both and really nice lyrics on Waiting on a Friend. A couple of filler tracks in the middle (Black Limousine, Neighbours) that drag the rating down, but overall a very decent album. Slave, Hang Fire, Heaven and Tops all good too.
This album sounds good, but as a whole is not a big standout and is boring especially compared to their earlier work. Start Me Up is great and I kinda like Slave and Waiting On A Friend, the rest sounds like filler in my opinion.
A real mixed bag of reviews on this album. This is clearly a Marmite album, loved by many, hated by others. Generally I like it. 'Worried About You' and 'Tops' are personal favourites. I see a lot of comparisons to Some Girls. Bit like comparing a good curry to a roast, I like both for different reasons.

Album of the year. 1981
Quizás, el último gran álbum de los Stones, comparable a sus clásicos de los 60 y principios de los 70.
My favorite by them.
I cant say that i am really keen on this album, definitely would not buy it. The first four tracks are ok, along with the last three. I think that Goat Head Soup and Its Only Rock And Roll are better albums.
The last decent stones album
This one just fell flat for me. I've always hated "Start Me Up" and it seems like that was really the only notable song from this. Nothing bad, the songs are quite fine for a first time listen but I can't imagine i'll be going back to this soon. Maybe my least favorite Stones record.
Best song(s): Heaven

Clássico instantâneo quando lançado e sobreviveu muito bem a prova do tempo.
