It was only recently I learned of the sad passing of FOW founding member Adam Schlesinger in April 2020 of COVID related complications so I’ve going back over the FOW catalogue I so adored through the 90’s and early 2000’s. The 3 peat of ‘Fountains of Wayne’ (1996), ‘Utopia Parkway’ (1999) and ‘Welcome Interstate Managers’ (2003) wrote the book on Nerd Rock, Geek Rock, Power Pop whatever you want to call it that set a new bench mark for the gene then and today some 25 years after their majestic self titled album came out
