I can agree with the reviewers before me that this album hasn't got that that killer track that ex appeared on Major Arcana but overall I think it has less filler than the previous albums. So to me still one of the best albums of 2018 and still on the same level as their other ones.
Probably the most disappointing album of the year.
Sports was a solid EP, as was Real Hair.
Major Arcana and Foil Deer were fantastic albums, and Foiled Again was, *again*, a damn good EP.
Their sound is more accessible here, which is good, but it's afraid to take risks and make itself stand out among the rest of their discog. The most notable thing is how safe it sounds. There heart is there, but it's difficult to find beneath the polish.
There's no guitar driven epic like MKVI, or crunchy single like Raising the Skate.

2015's "Foil Dear" was oh so close to being my number 1 album for that year so it was with great anticipation I listened to "Twerp Verse" , in fact I would go so far as to say it was my number 1 most anticipated album for 2018 . So does it scrub up ? Unfortunately not really
Don't get me wrong its not terrible by any stretch , it just lacks the killer punch the good albums deliver
Single "Lucky 88" is the best thing here , whilst opener "Buck Me Off" and "Alone with Girls" are also pretty ok
Unfortunately track 2 "Lean In When I Suffer" is down right terrible and , whilst "Sport Death" and "Moving In " arn't far behind . The remaining tracks are only just a pass
