A nordic soul. Suitable but not completely capturing the heritage. It's very Motown, very Roy Orbison and not that much "English white soul". It's big orchestrated joyful with a very distinct sorrowful, or maybe only very mature sound to it. It's 20 years after the marriage, after love and right in the practical love of everyday action. It's a wonderful record, mostly new songs but also spiced with three of Magnus greatest. He is up there among a large collection of crooning men, with brilliant songs. Worth to discover if you like late Elvis, Richard Hawley and others.
