Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 63.8/100, a mean average of 63.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.3.

This album has grown on me since I first heard it, but it pales in comparison to their earlier albums such as Let There Be Rock. First of all, the songwriting here isn't terrible, but it could be better. There are some pretty great tracks, such as "Heatseeker" and "Nick of Time", and, honestly, the only track I would say that is flat out bad would have to be "Ruff Stuff", but the rest aside from those three range from pretty good to pretty bland. A big turn off for this album is a lack of attitude that is noticeable in the fact that the songs sound very 80s, uplifting, and in a major key if that makes any sense. Highway to Hell had an absolute shit ton of attitude, grit, and balls, but this album lacks that severely. I criticize this album a lot, and only a major ACDC fan should check out this album, but I do like a listen every now and then. It's my guilty pleasure.

Rated 60 out of 100 and that's being kind, Not one of their best albums ,There's nothing here that blows you away like some of their early stuff.

Not bad, certainly better than, fly on the wall. Heatseeker, and, that's the way I wanna rock'n'roll, are two of AC/DC's better singles from the eighties, but compared with the Bon Scott era, they're not much. Still, it's not a terrible record, but not much more than that either.

Blow Up Your Video is a criminally underrated album. I have owned since last night and I have had this interesting CD on repeated listens. It's short like many other CDs by AC/DC. Most of the songs are great. There's great drumming throughout, some great riffs and some quite memorable solos as well. I wish rock music fans would look at this album. It's quite enjoyable.
