Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 64.5/100, a mean average of 60.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 60.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.1.

This is the album that Take That was always capable of making but was too hesitant to take the full risk to make. This is that album. Robbie Williams' return gives Take That the confidence to produce an experimental record that takes risks. It combines their signature pop style with electronic music to produce a very intriguing album. They have all clearly matured as songwriters and performers and this record is the finest example of it. 9/10!

The first Take That album to feature Robbie Williams for 15 years when it came out, certainly their most experimental record but it is pretty inconsistent in quality

Take That's best album, and one of Robbie's best albums.

Probably the best album Take That album, following the return of Robbie for this one. They tried to deliver some powerful messages and they did it. One of the best selling albums in the UK in this century.
