Clarification to johnner's assertion Martin is suffering from a terminal illness , yes he has an illness but reports of his demise have been greatly exaggerated . I won't go into details but be reassured Martin has responded well to a miracle drug and is doing as well as can be expected in 2018
Following 1996's 'Sunburnt' Marty goes to the cold extreme this time on 'Snow Bound'
And its a very nice offering
There is that trade mark Chills sounding DNA present on tracks such as "The Greatest Guide" , especially title track "Snow Bound" which very much sounds like the wonderful "Rolling Moon" ( play the 2 tracks back to back and you'll understand) , "Easy Peazy" and closer "In Harmony"
For mine the best moments are kept for the slower number in "Deep Belief" and the the mid-tempo "Lord of All I Survey"
Now 55 years old , its wonderful Marty is still releasing great music in 2018 some 36 years since it all began

For a musician suffering from a terminal condition, an album over-brimming with boundless optimism is the last thing you’d expect but that’s exactly what you get. More than anything, Martin Phillips is ready to tell us what a joy life is, ready to wring every last drop of happiness from each and every day. And it’s hard to disagree, particularly when each tune floats by on the same cloud as a...heavenly pop hit.
