To complete what Corenfro said, I do think that this album is underrated and groundbreaking. The way that Guldemond delivers his melodies over unstable and creative harmonies is totally unique. I cannot think of another band that sounds like this. Mother Mother has a very unique sound and "O My Heart" is probably their best effort. Listen to "Hayloft" for a great showcase of their ability as songwriters. I also like their lyrics and how the music is serving the words, particularly in a song like "Try To Change".

Interesting album for sure! Some might say underrated? Nothing groundbreaking here but it's interesting indie rock that captures your attention with the details. I imagine some folks can find stuff to hate on here (mainly vocally). I don't usually care for this genre but they threw in enough various instruments and depth to captivate my attention. Quirky band. Would compare to "Of Montreal" in level of quirkiness. You'll either be intrigued by their weirdness or be quick to dismiss them because of it. Worth a listen if you are partial to the Canadian indie rock scene.
