This is their best album of the 2010s. The songs are tighter than they've ever really been and the musical acrobatics are never out of place. I do think a couple songs are a little underwhelming (Barstool Warrior, Room 137 (those lyrics sound like they were written by a high schooler), Out of Reach), but the rest are really good.
Not really my kind of music, but I think it is a good rock album.

One of the best album in 2019
Excellent album from Dream Theatre with stunning musicianship throughout. What is good is that the drums aren't stealing the shown like on so many of the earlier albums.
Highest quality prog-metal. Intricate and frequently excellent.

Dream theater are back! The best of both worlds here; their patented intricacy and technically brilliant musicianship on full display, but without being a two hour epic it's still more digestible. LaBrie's voice is better than it has been in a while as well. Those who liked Awake will likely love this one.

first impression: wow - bombastic Dream Theater at its best - again. Very versatile: powerful metal, soft and very melodic and dynamic - again a perfect masterpiece.
