This is my least-favorite MG album, although it does feature two of my favorite MG songs! Damn These Vampires and Real Estate Songs are vintage JD.

Far-removed from his lo-fi beginnings, john darnielle still draws character sketches like nobody's business. Highlights are "damn these vampires" and "never quite free".
