Easily the most overlooked album within the Lemon Demon discography. While it may receive more attention than its predecessors, especially those before Dinosaurchestra, it is the album far more deserving of praise. It tends to be outshined by Spirit Phone and, to an extent, Nature Tapes, but this is an extremely well done album in my opinion. While it does have some duds in my opinion, namely The Man in Stripes and Glasses, Ask for Nothing, and the closer, even these songs are only slightly forgettable at worst. The short interludes between each track enhance the experience as well, so much so that it is odd to listen to Marketland without hearing the unlisted [Spooky Sounds Vol. 6] before it. Production and mixing used to be a major issue for this album, but that has been remedied with the re-release of this album in 2020. Overall, a very underrated album, but the great Jay-Z once said, "Would you rather be underpaid or overrated?" and this album chooses to be the sleeper pick.
Favorite songs: Kaleidoskull, Marketland, The Ocean
