There’s too much tension and unrest in this album to call it “ambient” but few other descriptors seem to fit. Wavering tape loops and reverb-heavy vocals create an intimate atmosphere that is as inviting as it is desolate. This could almost be the soundtrack to an ultra-minimalist super-8 remake of Koyaanisqatsi.
