This was shortlisted for album of the year at the Grammy's in 1969. The eventual winner was By The Time I Get To Phoenix by Glenn Campbell. This would probably have been my album of the year from those shortlisted

I seriously liked this album! The collection of superb hits and his original songs are performed in an original way,, where his solid and powerful vocal work makes these indisputable classics of their own. His virtuoso guitar playing is a definite highlight, which adds the final touches.
The two iconic tracks: Light My Fire and California Dreaming are definite classics of their own and remain on classic pop radio playlists forever.
Overall, "Feliciano!" is a must-listen album for anyone interested in Latin music, pop music, or guitar playing. It's a timeless classic that continues to resonate with music lovers today and solidified Jose Feliciano's status as a forerunner among Latino musicians and the pop world globally.
