It would be super easy and lazy to completely slag this album off so I’m going to cut it some slack
Truth be told it’s far from a masterpiece but given several listens there are some good moments to be found here. Opener “Rock and Roll Deserves To Die” has a nice quiet loud dynamic going on , “Live ‘Til I Die” is classic Darkness fodder , “Deck Chair” is interesting as a moody ballad (!!!) whilst “In Another Life” is more 1970’s Boston than Darkness
Lyrically its shallow stuff but hey it’s The Darkness, we have learnt to take anything they do with a pinch of salt and a sense of humor such as this lyric from “Heavy Metal Lover”

I read somewhere this is supposedly a concept album, I really don’t know what the concept is but I do know this is The Darkness back in form with tongue firmly planted in cheek
