Twee Pop can be hit or miss , when it misses it can be excruciating. But when it’s good it’s simply awesome e.g Belle and Sebastian and now add The Just Joan’s to the list
This album brought a smile to my face the very first time I heard it with it’s self deprecating songs full of misery and dripping with sarcasm such as “Who Does Susan Think She Is ? “ , “ Hey Ho , Lets Not Go” , “Bobby’s Got a Punctured Lung” and “Another Doomed Relationship”
Sad music but a joy to behold
