I found this album very underwhelming. The lack of structure in his songs often loses me (inconsistent/no rhyme scheme, 10 bar verses, etc), and nothing felt substantial. Lyrics are very simple and the content isn't very clear, and musically it sounds like standard country-pop production with basic chords. I've never gotten into Gaslight Anthem, but this album certainly pushed me further away from being a fan.
