First off, this cd is not what I expected. While reviewing the very fine print in the liner notes of this disc, I came across the information that the content had been re-recorded by Herman's Hermits and were not a compilation of the original recordings. Also only 4 of the 5 HHs participated in the re-recording and Peter Noone was the non-participator. My disc was issued on the Sims Records, Inc. label - Catalog Number(s) TV-1001 and TV-1002. There were no documentation of UPC numbers or other source information. The closest I could come in verifying this release was evidence on amazon.com about an 18 song re-release with no date of issue. www.amazon.com/Hermans-Hermits-Classic-Collections/dp/B01GEVTUAE/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_t op?ie=UTF8
The release in my possession has 21 songs.
Further investigation uncovered musicbrainz.org with an undated release that has a nearly exact track listing of my possessed release - with matching release title but no artwork attached. https://musicbrainz.org/release/c20e131e-4fe1-4d0a-b622-f5d0cba6ceab
The songs sound remarkably produced - but in someways it is clear that it is not Peter Noone singing lead, or a combination of Noone singing and re-recorded backing vocals and instrumentation. Very Disappointing.
