Following the disappointing ‘Sleep Well Beast’ (2017) and last year’s slog ‘I Am Easy to Find’ finally fans have something The National related that’s worth praising even if it is slated as a Matt solo effort
None the less this album is good. Really good. It’s somber atmosphere is drenched with ‘Trouble Will Find Me’ DNA highlighted by the wonderful “One More Second” with its quirky carnival keyboard
For mine top 10 best albums for 2020
A bit morose for my tastes but not bad.
