Although the sound quality on some of this compilation is extremely muddy, this writer attributes that to the recording conditions existing during the original recordings and the source tape imperfections. This is a great variety of selections, some rare like the Sonny Terry/Woody Guthrie duet on Disc One of this 3 disc set. Released on The MasterTone Label (Cat # 8049) in 1996 this box set is a fountain of authentic blues in all its various forms and incarnations. Can be found on discogs.com
