Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.5/100, a mean average of 71.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.2.

Experimental music, some massive singles. Great album!

If the Eurythmics were making music today the best tracks from their previous album ‘Sweet Dreams’ and this would be all together on one album. Combining both albums with the best songs together would make it one if the best albums of all time. Some absolute great songs on this album. Annie Lennox was just great to look at as well. Much like David Bowie

As contrasting as an album could be. The first two tracks are the highlights, followed by some quite poor tracks. Cherrypick the best tracks and you have half an album at best.

Terrific follow up to "Sweet Dreams". The music is very unique, and Annie Lennox's voice is amazing.

Here Comes the Rain Again is nearly as great as Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). The first side sounds like every song was or could have been a hit. The second side is more experimental and not as satisfying but has some interesting stuff. Its a very strong album one of their best.

The hits are great the rest is fairly average though.

The good news is Annie's familiar voice and delivery are readily on display on the majority of the songs. The bad news is the record tends to drift just a bit, making the "non-hits" sound a bit like filler.

The jury is still out on the Eurythmics. They were either god-awful or bloody brilliant, I haven't decided which. I suspect it was the latter, but there is so much about their music that I object to that I can't whole-heartedly embrace them.

It's a really great album. Synth-Pop at it's best. "Here Comes the Rain Again", "Right By Your Side", "Who's That Girl", "Cool Blue" - Heavy and light, cold and warm, such a diverse album.
