Since enjoying ‘Attack on Memory’ coming up on 9 years ago I’ve been luck warm on Dylan Baldi’s somewhat prolific output mainly because each subsequent release sounded so darn similar to the preceding release becoming hard to pin point where one album ended and a new one begun. But not here, on ‘The Shadow I Remember’ Baldi pairs back to the full throttle pedal to the metal driving guitars and drums for a more measured “pop” approach that harkens back to his early early work and put simply it works
