(Imagine Nails. Then take away the guitar and replace it with a second bass player. Then add in a few almost groove/nu metal snippets to give you brief 4-15 second breaks from the Powerviolence onslaught. That is what this album is. Yep, its as excellent as that sounds.)

Okay, well, this kicked my ass. I have said about many albums that they "hurt my ears" or "made my ears bleed". However, usually, that just means the album is loud. With this album, however, the onslaught of bass riff carnage legit made my ears rattle around a little.

This is a fucking brilliant album. I mean it. If you love the Nails' classic debut from 2010, you'll love this too. It has that same unhinged, fuck-you-energy and violence. But sonically its different. You see, there are 2 bassists. And although that may sound like a gimmick, the cutting out of the guitar and the doubling down on the low end mayhem makes this one of the best albums to absolutely vent to or, if you're like me, just sit back and smile to. The whole album is 20 songs and 10 minutes long and not a second is wasted. Its just fucking mayhem! The fact that the album "takes its time" for some seriously funky grooving double bass riffs makes the album even better than it already would have been had they stuck to the more direct hardcore punk/Nails-esque sound that mostly dominates this album.

Anyway, I'm rambling way too much. If you like the description of this thing I'm sure you already dropped everything else in your life and pushed play on "Come and See". And, conversely, if my description sounds ridiculous and absurd, then you will never listen to this. (Although for those of you who just wanna avoid this, I highly recommend giving this entire album a go. It's only 10 minutes, and its ... fucking awesome.)

Oh and lyrically it seems to be a deep, pretentious album about religion or something. I seriously think that the people who comment on Powerviolence/Death Metal/Black Metal/Grindcore albums and then talk about the lyrics are just trolling. I have never once heard or understood the lyrics of these albums. I just don't give a shit. Maybe I should and maybe I will.

Anyway, that's all. Good night!
