Expected fare from Amy and Co. She belts out the vocals and everything is on a suitably grand scale. Complex compositions and fine musicianship.
Evanescence return to form with their latest release, crafting an enthralling gothic metal album akin to their roots but with a modern production sound. Fans of their older works will find this enjoyable, but its catchy rhythms and soaring choruses could capture the imagination of a new listener as well.
