Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Expected fare from Amy and Co. She belts out the vocals and everything is on a suitably grand scale. Complex compositions and fine musicianship.
Evanescence return to form with their latest release, crafting an enthralling gothic metal album akin to their roots but with a modern production sound. Fans of their older works will find this enjoyable, but its catchy rhythms and soaring choruses could capture the imagination of a new listener as well.
