“A Tiny House, in Secret Speeches, Polar Equals” is full of surprises. Each track feels like a journey to itself. The songs will evolve into these massive psychedelic soundscapes or shrink into reflective guitar periods. The best example of this is “Chapters” which starts as a simple folkish song before adding layer after layer of electronics. The electronic giant then collapses into this distorted peaking rock outro. The downside to these rapid changes is all sounds are not equal. A very interesting musical idea will sometimes be replaced something of lower quality. The lyrics are also a bit underwhelming in comparison to the ambitious instrumentals. I think this one might be a grower.
One of the best albums of 2021. Not as good as Velocity: Design: Comfort or You Will Never Know Why but this album is a blast of sound from start to finish. So glad this came out this year.

Enjoyable and nicely put together but a bit self-indulgent for me. Spends a little too much time in some spots I think.
Fairly tepid psychedelic pop. It's got lots of aspiration and plenty of artsy production but it just doesn't capture the attention
