Verve Records released this dozen track Natalie Cole album of covers of contemporary tunes in 2006. Fiona Apple's "Criminal" nestles next to Sting's "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" which is prefaced by Des'ree's "You Gotta Be". Cole and co-producer Dallas Austin also throw in a few originals to flesh out the album. (Cat#: B0006223-02) is an unsettling album in that it doesn't really have a cohesive reason to exist. The songs are decent - Cole sounds decent - the production is decent. Authenticated on discogs.com
