Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 73.5/100, a mean average of 72.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 73.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.6.

No song on this album should be rated below an 85. This is a masterpiece, as are By the Way, Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Californication. This hatred for RHCP music needs to stop. The track rating for this album is 80, which is insulting, as it should be at least 86, which is pretty obvious when you look at the exceptional quality of music.
Probably my favorite 'Chilli Peppers' record but not a particularly consistant one. Way too many average or weak tracks and it's just impossible to listen to in one sitting, zero reason for this being a 2 hour long album. That being said, I still really like this one and has ton of reply value, just wished they cut it in half and took the 14 best songs on the album and released the rest on some compilation.
Best song(s): "Dani California" "Snow" "She's Only 18" "Slow Cheetah" "Strip My Mind" "Desecration Smile"
This is an underrated Peppers album. I can see why because it came out late in their career, and it's a double album - people never really know how to digest those. But to me this is their best album. There are no filler tracks, I don't care what anyone says, and this is some of Frusciante's most experimental guitar work. I think they can ride the funk thing too much at times, but this is the exact opposite of that. Grade A songwriting, with one of the best modern drummers, bassists, and guitarists all in one band. Listen to this album!
Red Hot Chili Peppers' most ambitious album and one of the greatest double albums of all time, alongside Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' and the Beatles' 'White Album'.
It also perfectly captures a similar energy to that of the band's live performances, as well as their eclectic nature.
In my honest opinion, I have to say that this album is very overlooked and under appreciated, not being acknowledged as the masterpiece that it is.
As someone who isn't scared of a bit pop, I can enjoy this album just fine. Do I think this album changed something on the musical spectrum? No. I think this is already way better than you can expect from a band that has been going on for literal decades.
Really good album. Never feels dull even though it's over 2 hours long.
Originally slated for 3 album's to be released 6 month's apart , 'Stadium Arcadium' was instead released as a mammoth 2 hour double album which can be daunting to the uninitiated on early listens. Let's be honest - there's a lot to take to absorb , but fear not I'm here to help , having done the leg work for you. Please find below my Stadium Arcadium Survival Guide

Typical double album syndrome... there's a very decent 12 song album in here, somewhere.
Just a collection of good (first half) or quite good (second half) songs. If it was two times shorter it would be much better. Reminds me of "Out of the blue" by Electric light orchestra.
This album was a game changer for me. I listened to every Red Hot Chili Peppers record previous, and then BAM! They drop this double LP. Its got the hits and the hidden gems all throughout the track list. One of my favorites in the bands discography.
