"I was living in Reno in November of 2006 when Ys was released, and I immediately recognized, amid the dense allegory and arcane literary references embedded in Joanna Newsom's lyrics, music that is grounded in the Sierra Nevada and Yuba River Valley landscapes in which Newsom was born and raised...."  [+]  Reply

"I remember I disliked "Rehab" when it first became ubiqitious on the radio and kind of just ignored her for a while. I listened to the album a few years later and all I needed to hear was "You Know I'm No Good" and there it was: I just instantly thought, hearing the song at the moment and time, s..."  [+]  Reply

"Back in the day I liked this a lot. Flows together yet at the same time it is all individual songs. Starlight and Supermassive do their jobs fine. Invincible has a guitar part which I swore was great until I came back to it. The drums on City Of Delusion are also a highlight. The album cover so f..."  [+]  Reply

"One of the most personal and beautiful albums I have ever heard. You feel as if you are in the hospital room with him while he crafts every beat and plays it for you. Simply just beautiful."  Reply

"To add to the comments below, I'd say "Degausser" is phenomenol, probably my favorite on the album. The chorus is so forcefully emotional. This shares a little bit in common with sadcore in addition to emo, especially in the later tracks."  Reply

"All Chili Pepper albums with John Frusciante are excellent Like Flea said, if you don't get Stadium Arcadium, you don't get the Peppers. Damn Right! This is their best album! Blood Sugar Sex Magic is 90's excellence and Californiacation was the big return. This is each member at the peak of their..."  [+]  Reply

"Compared to "Hot Fuss" and "Sawdust" this album is a bit of a disappointment. The musicianship and the sounds are there, but somehow I feel, when listening to the album that there is a lack of good memorable songs - at least compared to the two afore-mentioned albums. "When We Were Young" is a gr..."  [+]  Reply
