Way underrated among Petty albums. What's the usual knock on his LPs prior to Full Moon Fever (excepting Damn the Torpedoes)? Great singles but the rest is filler? I find this album to be bangin' and listenable from beginning to end. I'd rank it fifth among his albums (admitting a strong partiality toward his pre-Let Me Up albums) after DTP, Wildflowers, FMF, and (just a tiny notch above it) Hard Promises.

Powerful and beautiful at the same time, Petty is a superb songwriter and this album is the perfect combination of his amazing capabilities with his understanding of what moves the masses...
Underrated album; probably my favorite of his. Highlights: “You Got Lucky,” “Change Of Heart,” “One Story Town” and “Finding Out.”
Yea, I guess I agree with that statement, one of their lesser known albums and a couple hidden gems.
Maybe not as consistent as some of his other albums but it contains some great tracks.
