It sounds like the soundtrack to a cartoon villain but in the best possible way, I love it
Very good album, it is very cohesive with a lot of very good moments. A good mix of vocals and instrumentals. Top 5 of 2021 for sure.

Sloppy Janes first incarnation was as an arty punk band featuring for a brief period on bass none other than Phoebe Bridges before her solo career exploded. ‘Madison’ represents Sloppy Jane mark II where the band lead by mainstay leading lady Haley Dahl fully embraces chamber pop and it really works
Recorded with 21 band mates deep within a cave in West Virginia this is extremely hard to categorise but think of Johanna Newsom meets My Chemical Romance meets St.Peeper and Queen, its huge, its flowery and velvety and in parts simply bonkers crazy (just check out “Judy’s Bedroom” and the canned audience laughter dropped into the middle of some tracks)
This is one of those albums that is either one of the best, most awesome things I’ve listened to in 2021, or its so bad its good. I’m almost certain its the former
