A classic slow-burner. Wasn't sure at first, but it's an album I keep coming back to and it keeps on giving.
A stronger album end to end than Feist's previous albums. I like it.

Oooh... I like it. Feist isn't happy. She's developed an edge. This album is reflective and retrospective. She's looking back on failure and conflict. It gives her music a darker edge, and the sounds have become more layered, more complex, more risky. Well done Feist. This may be your masterpiece.

This is feist with gnarly teeth, in as much as feist can have gnarly teeth. There are no obvious pop standouts like ipod tune "1 2 3 4". "metals" is both less poppy, more complicated and grander in vision. She's a li'l bluesy on this album, especially the first few tracks.
