This album is ranked 3rd on this site for Died Pretty albums , generally the music fans on BEA get this sort of thing right but on this occasion I can tell you with 100% confidence the ranking is wrong wrong wrong. ‘Free Dirt’ isn’t only undeniably DP’s best album it is quite simply an all time Australian Classic capturing the band at the peak of their powers. Drugs and infighting would ultimately destroy this band. It never got any better than this

Produzione tipica del rock anni ottanta ( eco della voce, tastiere, ecc… ) ma che non dà fastidio; un po' di psichedelia, la giusta sporcizia, suono chitarristico, niente fronzoli, qualche inevitabile rimando agli U2, scrittura più che discreta.
