Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.8/100, a mean average of 70.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 70.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.5.

This one’s a real snoozefest from Earl, have nothing more to say about it really.
Short and sharp, Earl's back at it again.
I love Earl from Doris to Some Rap Songs but it's like he didn't want to try too hard on this album. 2010 is great and he would've made it onto a lot of people's playlists but the album as a whole wasn't impressive compared to what he is usually capable of. There's some good deep cuts though. Earl is one of my favorite rappers as a rapper. Not favorite artist but as a rapper, he's sick... (No pun intended). Hope his next project is as good as anything he dropped in 2013, 2015 or even 2018
Rápido e criativo!
As a fan of Earl since the Odd Future days, I didn't think he was capable of releasing anything less than great. Even on Feet of Clay, there were plenty of high moments within it's short run-time. As much as I've tried to get into this record, and respect it for what it is — an artist finding peace and clarity within his life and music — most of the album just passes by without making much of an impression. That's not to say this is a bad record, though. It has a few stronger tracks, like Tabula Rasa, 2010, and Fire in the Hole (which make up about 10.5 minutes of the 23-minute run-time). Apart from those, the rest of the album feels pretty inconsequential, especially compared to the rest of Earl's discography.
This is currently (as of February 1, 2022) the worst album released this year. It's not even that bad, but a few things tick me off. First, this record is only 24 minutes, making it the shortest album I've listened to this year. I find myself listening mainly to 30-40 minute albums, but this one clocked in at 24, and it felt way longer than that. Secondly, I hate "Tabula Rasa" because of that sample (I don't know whose it is). I find this to be a mediocre record at best.
