Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Probably the strangest folk singer-songwriter album I’ve ever listened to, yet it’s beautiful and compelling. His voice threw me at first, but according to Askew, his voice sounds so strained due to the physical demands of playing the tiple. “9-Song” is incredible.
